PLAYING A PART IN YOUR PLEDGES:
One time, as a favour for some dear friends, I became a Marriage Celebrant. It was so much fun, and it turns out I’m pretty good at it, so it stuck.
I’ve been a celebrator of love for over eleven years and 400+ ceremonies. There are no favourites - because pretty quickly each new set of lovers becomes dear to me. I’m still counting my lucky stars that I get to meet folks at their happiest. I can share in the fun of wedding planning, marvel at their commitment to one another and see all of those “just married” smiles; it really is amazing!
Hearing real love stories is so much fun - folks say the nicest, funniest, strangest things! … and then I get to borrow those strange, lovely things to create a ceremony that is personal and authentic, hopeful and reflective of the way that they feel about each other and their future together. In return, I promise to bring a sense of calm and joy to every celebration. OH, and get the legal bits sorted, too.
I will do my best to look the part, I stay out of your “kiss” photos and have achieved expert level at button-hole pinning without drawing blood. I carry hankies and band-aids, safety pins and a spare pen at all times. No question is too trivial, no concern is silly - I might do this over and over, but its a once-in-a-lifetime event for everyone else, so shoot I’m here to help.
